Midday

Afternoon

About Uunartoq
Uunartoq, meaning “the warm place”, is home to Greenland’s only naturally heated, swimmable hot springs — a rare experience in the Arctic. The island forms part of the UNESCO-listed Kujataa cultural landscape.

Here, warm geothermal waters offer a moment of deep relaxation, surrounded by open sea, drifting icebergs, and distant mountain horizons. It’s a quiet pause in the journey — and a place long valued in Inuit culture.

After your visit, you continue by boat to Qaqortoq, where the evening is yours to explore at your own pace.

Morning
– Guided walking tour of Qaqortoq, including museum entry

Afternoon
– Free time to explore at your own pace

About Qaqortoq
Today, your guide introduces you to Qaqortoq through a walking tour that brings you closer to the town’s everyday life, history, and cultural identity. The route passes through key areas, including selected Stone & Man carvings — one of the town’s most distinctive features.

You will also visit the local fish market, where fishermen and hunters bring in the day’s catch — a natural meeting place that reflects daily life in South Greenland.

The tour concludes at the museum, where Norse history, Inuit heritage, and colonial influences come together, adding depth and context to your journey.

Morning
– Boat transfer from Qaqortoq to Qinngua Kangilleq (Qinngua Valley)

Afternoon
– Settle into your tents and enjoy free time in the valley

Evening
– Dinner at camp

About Qinngua Kangilleq
Qinngua Kangilleq is a historic sheep farm located at the head of Tunulliarfik Fjord, within the UNESCO-listed Kujataa cultural landscape. Surrounded by wide valleys, rivers, and distant mountain ridges, the setting feels both open and secluded.

You stay in tents set near the farm cabins, which serve as a shared base for meals, warmth, showers, and toilet facilities — combining simple comfort with a true backcountry atmosphere.

After arrival, there is time to settle in and take in the landscape at your own pace. The quiet surroundings and flowing river create a calm setting before continuing deeper into the valley the following day.

Morning
– Guided hike along the river towards the waterfalls

Afternoon
– Final afternoon at camp
– Dinner and a quiet evening in the valley

About Qinngua Valley
Today is dedicated to a guided hike through Qinngua Valley, following the glacial river as it winds through a wide and open landscape. Along the way, you pass grazing sheep, small fields, and the occasional Icelandic horse.

The hike leads towards a series of waterfalls, where the force of the water and the surrounding silence create a striking contrast — a raw and immersive experience of the valley.

The area is known for Arctic char and rich birdlife, and with a bit of luck, you may spot a white-tailed eagle above the river.

Morning
– Boat transfer back to Qaqortoq

Afternoon
– Check-in at Hotel Qaqortoq
– Free time to explore at your own pace

Evening
– Your final evening in South Greenland

About Qaqortoq
Back in Qaqortoq, the pace slows once more. After days in remote landscapes, the town offers a familiar rhythm — small streets, harbour views, and local life returning into focus.

This final afternoon is yours. Revisit favourite places, take a quiet walk, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of South Greenland’s capital.

As evening settles in, it’s a moment to reflect on the journey — and take in your last impressions before departure.
